Laetitia Coleman
Founder of Angel Tattoo • Pioneering Female Tattoo Artist • 35+ Years of Experience

Founder of Angel Tattoo in Nice, France, Laetitia Coleman is a pioneering female tattoo artist with over 35 years of experience and more than 30 years of Angel Tattoo history. At a time when female tattoo artists in France were extremely rare, she opened and built Angel Tattoo on her own, without the backing of any male tattoo artist, becoming one of the most recognized early female names in French tattooing. Her original Angel Tattoo shop in Nice has remained in the same location for over three decades and is still operating today as part of the family-owned and family-operated Angel Tattoo legacy. Recognized through magazine features, press coverage, and media appearances, Laetitia Coleman built a tattoo legacy that still connects France and Tampa today

tattooed by Brian Everett

When I was a teenager in France, I spent hours studying American tattoo magazines. One artist I always admired was Brian Everett.
Years later, after building my own career in tattooing, I had the opportunity to be tattooed by him at a convention in Florida.
Ironically, after almost my entire body was tattooed, the smallest tattoo I own—a single rose—became the most meaningful tattoo of my career.
It reminds me that the importance of a tattoo has nothing to do with its size.
The most meaningful tattoos aren't always the biggest.
Sometimes, they're the ones that fulfill a lifelong dream!

This is my grandmother and me in our family’s flower shop in France.
Creativity has always been part of my family. I grew up surrounded by flowers, colors, and craftsmanship, learning from my grandparents and parents long before I ever picked up a tattoo machine.
Looking back, I realize those years taught me to notice every petal, every curve, and every small detail. They still influence the way I design floral tattoos today.
At 25, I opened my own tattoo studio in France. More than 30 years later, my daughter now runs that same studio while I continue my journey as a Franco-American tattoo artist in Florida
